About Me
Welcome to Chopbox our little street food venture focusing on serving up amazing Cornish meats, vegetables and fish with imaginative sides and sauces to boot.
Having both worked in Hospitality for several years, Anna as an events manager and Rory as a chef we wanted to pursue our dreams of setting up a joint venture and doing the food that we are passionate about. Having moved down to Cornwall in 2015 from London, we had grandiose ideas of escaping the rat race and settling down to a calmer way of life and although those ideals haven't always come to fruition - due to the nature of our busy roles within the beast that is hospitality we've always fancied our chances of becoming a bit of a tag team partnership. Our love of Cornish produce and cooking big flavours as well as providing a friendly service is at the core of what we believe and we hope that shines through.
Earlier this year (2019) after much deliberation we decided to purchase an old Horsebox and have a go converting it ourselves with the help of some very patient family. Several months later and with our pockets considerably lighter we finally finished the 'box' and although our patience snapped on more than one occasion we are quite chuffed with the result and think she looks pretty damn cool.
If you'd like to come and see her in all her glory, she can be found in Falmouth every week. Just head to the Prince of Wales pier where she'll be hanging out taking in the views and out and about in a town near you.
